Create Connection in adtribute
Open the adtribute App.
Go to "Connections" and click on "Create Connection".
Search for "Klicktipp" and select it.
Name the Connection as you like, e.g. the Account Name.
Copy the Webhook URL by clicking on the clipboard icon.
Then just click "I did that".
You can open the Connection at any time in the future and copy the Webhook URL again.
This is all you need to do in the adtribute App for this Connection. The rest needs to happen in Klicktipp itself.
Setup Outbounds in Klicktipp
In Klicktip you have to setup so called "Outbounds" for each and every event you want to track, e.g. certain form signups. This is handled by the "Activation tags" that you have defined or Klicktipp natively provides.
Login to Klicktipp.
Navigate to "Automation" > "Outbounds" > "New Outbound"
Name the Outbound in a descriptive manner, e.g. "adtribute - Video Facebook Tag"
Activation tag: Select the Tag you want to create the Outbound for (usually this is "Manual Tags".
Then select the Tag - in this example "Video - Facebook".
Paste the copied Webhook URL form adtribute into the "Activation URL" field.
Click "Add new outbound".
Now, select the "Request Method" as "POST".
Add fields "Subscriber ID" and "Additional Parameter 1".
Rename the Parametername for "Subscriber ID" to "subscriber_id".
Rename the Parametername for "Additional Parameter 1" to "tag_name" and fill out the Default value as you name the the Outbound, e.g. "Video Facebook Tag".
Important: You have to setup Outbounds for each and every event you want to track and define it as described with the tags.
Setup URL Parameters
In order to track every unique User that goes through a Double Opt-Ins Process or Cross-Domain Flow like different Sign-Up and Thank You pages it is necessary that you add UTM Parameters in the following way:
Navigate to "Opt-In-Processes" > "Name of Opt-In" > "Thank you page"
Choose "Own thank you page" (if you do not have your own page yet, you need to set it up)
Add the Parameter "adb_klicktipp_scubscriber-id" to the field "Parameter for Contact-ID"
Important: You have to repeat that for every relevant Opt-In process.
Complete Connection
After you have done all of that the Connection is set up. The events then will be defined further in the definitions layer.
