Communicate Requirements
First step is, to communicate your wish for the Meta CAPI setup, so we can set it up for you. In order to do so, we need two things from you:
Your CAPI Token and Pixel ID.
The events you want to send back to Meta (as a default we send every Event that you can find under your Conversions Layer in the adtribute app).
We don't send the data to existing events for two reasons:
mitigating the risk of worse performance with new data.
having the opportunity to test the new event against the existing, to actually see what works better based on the current benchmark.
CAPI Setup
The actual CAPI setup is done by us after you have communicated the mentioned requirements above.
When you are running on Shopify, you have to complete one more step before we can set it up - follow the steps outlined in this article: Meta CAPI Setup for Shopify.
When everything is set up, we will let you know!
Note: After this setup is done, it will take up to 24 hours, before you can see the data and new events in your Ad Account.
Optimize Ads with adtribute data
To make sure the adtribute data is actually better for optimization, we advise to follow these two steps:
Matching Quality: Before you start optimizing for the new "adtribute - Purchase" event, wait until the Matching Quality in the "Events Manager" is better than for your "normal/previous purchase" event.
βSplit Test: Setup or duplicate identical Ad Sets where only the event you optimize for is different - your "normal/previous purchase" event vs the "adtribute - Purchase" event.
Set this up for multiple Ad Sets and test it for a good amount of time to achieve a statistically significant comparison and conclusion.
