Displaying the % share of a KPI broken down by specific dimension values. Example: Gross Revenue broken down by Channel.

What It Looks Like

Configuration

Adjusting Size

  • Press edit button in top right corner

  • Click and drag component to reposition on grid

  • Three predefined sizes available

    • Not recommended to manually resize

    • Choose one of the three optimized sizes

Changing Dimensions

  • Select dimension under "dimension" option

  • Dimension determines how data is broken down

  • Examples include channel or bucket

  • Represents categories in the pie chart

Changing Metrics

  • Choose metric to analyze

  • Options include gross revenue, net revenue, etc.

  • Metric determines values represented in pie chart

  • Can be changed based on analysis needs

Advanced Configurations

  • Sorting handled automatically based on selected metric

    • Descending order used for pie chart segments

    • Most important dimension values displayed first

  • Other configurations can generally be ignored

How To Use It

Understanding the Pie Chart

  • Displays selected metric (e.g., gross revenue) broken down by chosen dimension (e.g., bucket)

    • Shows percentage share of metric divided among different dimension categories

Using Cross Filter Functionality

  • Click on a slice to filter all other dashboard components

    • Reset by clicking the selected slice again

    • Hold command to select multiple slices

  • Filtering works bidirectionally (from pie chart to other components and vice versa)
