Combo Chart

Analysis of one or multiple KPIs broken down by non-time-based dimensions. Example: Gross Revenue by marketing channel.

What It Looks Like

Configuration

Adjusting Size

  • Press edit key in top right corner

  • Click and drag to reposition component

  • Hover over border to resize entire component

  • Resize chart within outer shell by hovering over chart border

    • Ensure nothing is cut off when resizing (e.g. countries, axis values)

Changing Dimensions

  • Set dimension in configuration (non-time-based)

  • Add multiple dimensions for drill-down functionality

    • Set default drill-down level for page reload

  • Use arrow keys to navigate between dimension levels

Changing Metrics

  • Configure single or multiple metrics

  • Add metrics like gross revenue, net revenue, etc.

  • Whenever using metrics with different scales, use both axes of your chart

Advanced Configurations

  • Use style section to customize each series

    • Switch between line and bar display for each metric

    • Choose left or right axis for each metric

  • Limit number of data points displayed

  • Use breakdown dimension for analyzing one metric across multiple dimensions

    • Add optional metrics for quick switching between KPIs

  • Configure sorting (usually descending by selected metric)

    • Use secondary sort for additional organization

How To Use It

Drill-Down Functionality

  • Allows jumping between different dimensions

    • Requires multiple dimensions in chart configuration

  • Follows the order set in chart configuration

    • Use down arrow to move to next dimension level

    • Use up arrow to return to previous dimension level

Optional Metrics

  • Useful when using breakdown functionality

  • Allows analysis of multiple metrics with breakdown dimension

  • Configure optional metrics in chart settings

  • Access via optional metrics icon in top right corner

    • Quickly switch between different metrics for analysis

Cross-Filter Functionality

  • Enables filtering between different components in a report

  • Bi-directional filtering across components

  • Clicking on one component filters data in other components

  • Applies to tables, charts, and combo charts

  • Allows for interactive data exploration across the entire report
